What is the Three Nations expedition?

The Three Nations expedition is a three week cultural experience and service project. We will be visiting cultural sites in all three countries and performing service projects in Mongolia. We are hoping to help Unicef and work with the street children in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia's capital). We also plan to help restore a Buddhist temple which was destroyed by Communist purges in the 1930's.

Which places are the Three Nations expedition visiting?

We are visiting:

  • Moscow, Russia
  • Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
  • A nomadic home on the steppe, Mongolia
  • Beijing, China
  • Xi'an, China (Home of the Terracotta Warriers)

How many people are going on the Three Nations expedition?

The expedition consists of 100 people. There are 9 members of the organising committee, who are supported by 10 members of the Moot International Service Team, (MIST), with the remainder of the expedition participants from the Scout Network section.

How much is the Three Nations expedition costing?

The full expedition cost is £2100, however there is a comprehensive plan of fundraising activities to assist expedition members in raising their expedition fees. The committee is also working to raise funds centrally to reduce the overall cost to participants.

Who is running this trip?

This trip is being organised by Troll, (Matthew Percival), from Manchester, along with an experienced organising committee from across the UK.

If you want to know who Troll has managed to persuade to assist with this fabulous expedition check out the Committee page.
