The second training weekend is confirmed as the 17th-19th October 2008 at Kibblestone International Scout Camp (http://www.kibblestone.org/). The training weekend subject is Mongolia.
The first training weekend was a great success with 80 people spending the weekend at Lapwing Lodge in Glasgow. Sessions covered the expedition aims, finance details, fundraising activities, health preperations and Russia cultural session, (including basic Russian phrases).
Highlights included expedition members receiving their free T-Shirts and expedition badges and the KGB landing in Glasgow saturday evening.

The November information weekend in Manchester passed by successfully. People from all over the country came together to talk and get excited about the Three Nations trip and all it involved. Presentations on Russia, Mongolia and China gave an outline of the trip and watching the Mongolian section of the Long Way Around gave an idea of what was in store.
